Star Wars in Archetecture

My mom sent this to me a few weeks ago. It's a cool article on the Washington National Cathedral and an interesting feature it has. For some reason that is still beyond me, there is a Darth Vader helmet carved into the roof of the cathedral. I'm not sure if it's meant to encourage people to go to church by being modern and hip, or warn people away from the Dark Side and religion. (that was a joke. ha ha.)

Anyway, check out the article, it has pictures and it's cool.

Washington National Cathedral : Darth Vader

  1. Maybe one should ask why cathedrals would put gargoyles on their architecture. They probably thought that Vader was like a modern gargoyle. :P
