Tick tock goes the clock
And what now shall we play?
Tick tock goes the clock
Now summer’s gone away?
Tick tock goes the clock
And what then shall we see?
Tick tock until the day
That thou shalt marry me
Tick tock goes the clock
And all the years they fly
Tick tock and all too soon
You and I must die
Tick tock goes the clock
We laughed at fate and mourned her
Tick tock goes the clock
Even for the Doctor
Tick tock goes the clock
He cradled her and he rocked her
Tick tock goes the clock
Till River kills the doctor
- Doctor Who
Tonight's the night! The answer to our questions! Well, knowing Moffat we'll get some answers and a heap more questions to go with it. Although I hope it won't be too much of a cliffhanger considering it's the end of this season.
Also, thanks to whoever compiled the words to the poem and made it coherent. Because it certainly wasn't me. But I think it's brilliant. Right up there with the Demon's Run poem.
Courtesy of BBC America, here's a prequel video to tonight's episode! It's amazing.
At the end of the last episode the poem continues, "Tick tock goes the clock, he gave all that he could give her. Tick tock goes the clock, now prison waits for River"
ReplyDeleteyes, I was going to update it but didn't get around to it! thanks!
ReplyDeleteit's also missing "Doctor brave and good, he turned away from violence when he understood the falling of the silence"
ReplyDeletereally very good topic
ReplyDeleteI really love this poem/song. :D I am obsessed with Doctor Who, though, so it's no surprise.
ReplyDeleteI love the poem but there is more to it though
ReplyDeleteSee river didn't really killed him
